School of Life

I had started my time at ISB as going to just another B-school. I was, in fact, apprehensive of the competitive environment. But, to my deepest happiness, ISB is not about competition. It is about collaboration. For the first two months, classes were amazing enough to keep my mind off missing home. Then, just when I started missing home, I started to realise the reality of long-term networking. Haha! I mean I met people and formed friendship bonds that would last a lifetime. Quite unknowingly, I had found much more than that in the first term itself. Rest of the journey was like going back to my amazing growing-up years in Delhi, while moving forward on the path of life. ISB taught me that I have the right to pick all the beauties and happiness in life and prepare my own home and work and world. This right to choose is the greatest gift that my school (ISB) gave me. Today, I am a better person for the sake of it. I am grateful to ISB for the friends I made on Mohali campus because of the new self that I was allowed to be.

Other than this inner transformation, ISB is a liberal B-school where we never had to think twice before approaching our teachers with the simplest of queries. Dining together, studying together, partying together, all in all, ISB was a great lesson in togetherness. That’s my two cents and 242 words. I am a member of the ISB family and it is this status that I will hold on to for life. It inspires me to think well, live well and be well. Many regards to Dean Raj for leading the institution to be in its current form, the administration for working hard at maintaining it and all the teachers and alumni for being themselves and being so nice. May the best come to the ISB community.
