WHY PGP? AND WHY ISB?
As a user experience designer, I spent the better half of my career on the execution aspect of a business decision. But I was always curious about the strategic motivation behind these choices. So, the natural progression was to gain some business knowledge and sharpen my abilities when it comes to management.

At the same time, the nature of the design industry is immensely dynamic and a long professional break could potentially harm my career graph. In that, ISB’s reputed one-year PGP provides the relevant skills and exposure through its concise program schedule and, thus, was the best choice.
WHAT ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AND FOCUS AREAS THIS YEAR?

The Marketing and Communications Council is in-charge of all internal and external media communications concerning student-focussed content in the form of videos, posters, student-life articles and technical essays, to name a few. The council also works closely with ISB’s Marketing Team to help brand the school on various social media platforms as well as at other global events. Internally, it is responsible for ensuring that all content that is generated in-house is coherent and in line with ISB’s quality and brand policy.

WHAT IS IT THAT YOU WANT TO LEARN AND BECOME MORE PROFICIENT AT DURING YOUR STAY AT THE ISB?
The PGP is known across the ISB circuit as ‘the year of transformation’ and I believe that this comes from the unique perspectives of different students on campus. My goal for the year is to talk to as many people as possible about their experiences and learn from their journeys. This will broaden my view of the world and also hone my people skills – abilities that I believe, are extremely critical for both personal and professional growth.
WHAT SUGGESTIONS WOULD YOU LIKE TO GIVE TO A PROSPECTIVE STUDENT ABOUT ISB?
There is no recipe for success at ISB, since it entirely depends on how you choose to approach your MBA. Having a goal in mind with regards to what you want to do with your degree will surely help you make more informed choices on campus. There will definitely be days when you will question your decision to come here, but not losing sight of your goals, makes the ride a lot smoother. Also, don’t forget to let loose every once in a while – it’s tough, but absolutely worth it.
