WHY PGP? AND WHY ISB?
After working on my own start-up for a couple of years, I felt that there was still a lot that I needed to learn. I needed to gain more experience and grow more as a leader, to be a better entrepreneur. PGP presented me with a great opportunity to work on myself, to pick up essential business skills and to broaden my worldview. ISB, being the top business school in India, was the only B-school that I applied to. Its great ranking, world-class faculty and reputation for diversity and inclusivity were what made me want to be a part of ISB.
WHAT ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AND FOCUS AREAS THIS YEAR?

As the director of the Marketing and Communication Council, I plan on leveraging my previous experience in marketing and advertising, in order to contribute to building the brand ISB. My team is the liaison between the cohort, and the marketing team, external relations team and the admissions team. Our responsibilities include promoting the student activities, aiding the admissions process, creating offbeat merchandise for the cohort and facilitating seamless internal communication among the cohort.

WHAT IS IT THAT YOU WANT TO LEARN AND BECOME MORE PROFICIENT AT DURING YOUR STAY AT THE ISB?
During the year, I want to make the most of the diverse cohort to gain a better understanding of different industries and fields. I also want to use the opportunities that ISB offers to hone essential leadership skills like conflict resolution, team building and public speaking. At the end of this year, I hope to develop a wider understanding of the workings of diverse industries and to become a more confident global leader.
WHAT SUGGESTIONS WOULD YOU LIKE TO GIVE TO A PROSPECTIVE STUDENT ABOUT ISB?

The one year at ISB is going to push your limits, there is no doubt about that. I would advise prospective students to focus on the big-picture and be open to experimentation. ISB offers a lot of opportunities. Take this time out to try new things and don’t be afraid of failing. The biggest learnings will be outside the classroom. Focus on all-round development and skill development. You have an opportunity to re-create yourself, make the most of it.
