Why PGP? and Why ISB?
The PGP course has been designed to test students holistically in a fast-paced high pressure environment. Being a one year program, the program aims to test your limits through an extremely well structured curriculum taught by stalwarts of different business verticals. One of the major differentiating factors with respect to other B-schools is the focus on learning beyond the books. At ISB, we are taught to apply theoretical concepts in real life situations as individuals and as part of a collective thereby preparing us for future responsibilities in the most pragmatic manner possible. My main motivation for pursuing an MBA was to develop a strong network and engage in Peer to Peer learning from people across various fields of expertise and levels of experience. The talent pool at ISB is extremely diverse and the scope for learning here is unparalleled even by international standards.

Overall, the dynamic nature of student engagement, limitless opportunities in addition to a strong alumni network and international standards of education made the decision to join ISB a no-brainer.
What are your responsibilities and focus areas this year?
My vision for the year is to “Empower students and help steer them towards Endless Possibilities”. One of my key focus areas is to foster an inclusive and supportive environment on campus by engaging in open discussions about mental health.

As the President of the Graduate Student Board, my responsibilities include:
  • Leading the 7 student councils – Academic Affairs, Alumni Engagement, Career Advancement, Finance & Governance, Student Life, Marketing, Operations & Sustainability
  • Managing the 14 Professional and 10 Social clubs along with Special Interest Groups
  • Chairing ISB's flagship events - ISB Leadership Summit, Equinox, Advaita, ISB Super League, Bandhan, AIKYA & Artha
  • Liaising between the Graduate Student Association (GSA) and the various stakeholders of the administration
  • Ensuring the best possible experience for every single member of the GSA
What is it that you want to learn and become more proficient at during your stay at the ISB?
My aim is to build a strong network with the Class of 2020s and the 10k+ ISB Alum network over the course of the next year. In terms of learning, I hope to be able to adopt a strategic thinking process and a forward looking mindset. In addition, I want to build upon my EQ skills by engaging in peer to peer learning with my cohort during my stay at ISB.
What suggestions would you like to give to a prospective student about ISB?
The course here at ISB is an extremely accurate manifestation of the phrase “Year of Transformation”. ISB forces you to break free from your comfort zone and helps you develop skills and interests you never knew existed. The beauty of ISB lies in the fact that every day here is filled with life lessons. You also get to interact with the sharpest minds in the country and this serves to make the ISB experience even more worthwhile. All in all, it truly is an experience of a lifetime.
