The primary objective is to study how these monitoring methods impact the patient’s adherence and clinical outcomes. The trial will involve implementation of specific interventions, collection of primary data (surveys and interviews) as well as secondary programmatic data, which will then be analyzed to estimate the impact of the interventions. Additionally, qualitative studies will be conducted to understand the behavioral mechanisms driving the impact.

·  Evaluation of the Private Provider Engagement (PPE) strategy is a study funded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) and in partnership with the Foundation for Medical Research and the Central TB Division to conduct a broad assessment of the impact of the PPE strategy on TB patient pathways to diagnosis and treatment initiation, quality of care, financial burden to patients and their families, and treatment outcomes. This study will use a combination of primary and secondary data to measure the exposure of TB patients to various elements of PPE strategy at the patient, provider and community levels and then measure their impact on relevant outcomes.
