ISB sets up Anuradha & B V Jagadeesh Chair to recognise entrepreneur couple’s contribution to the School

[Hyderabad, May 19, 2022]: The Indian School of Business has set up a new chair named after noted philanthropist and entrepreneur couple - Mr B V Jagadeesh and Mrs Anuradha Jagadeesh - in recognition of the generous and significant financial contribution made by them to the School in its early years. 

Making the announcement, Professor Madan Pillutla, Dean, ISB, expressed ISB’s gratitude for their generous contribution and said, “I would like to thank Mr. B. V. Jagadeesh and Mrs. Anuradha Jagadeesh for their generosity towards the Indian School of Business. Philanthropic support and contribution of well-wishers like them set the strong foundations that have enabled ISB to grow to be a world class institution where cutting edge research and education combine to produce some of the finest thought leaders in the country.

 

Expressing delight over the setting up of the Chair, Mr B V Jagadeesh underlined that ISB has always been close to his heart and that he wanted to contribute to its growth. He said, “My wife Anu and I have been entrepreneurial at heart and ISB’s vision to be a world-class, research led management institution has always resonated with us. We wanted to be a part of this wonderful institution that was being planned by the best minds in academia and industry, and we are really happy that through the newly formed Chair Professorship, ISB will continue to provide thought leadership that it’s renowned for. We wish ISB great success as the School enters new areas in the fast changing higher education landscape”

Mr B V Jagadeesh is a seasoned entrepreneur and philanthropist who has founded and funded many enterprise start-ups such as Exodus, NetScaler, NetMagic, Nutanix, Cohesity, Balbix, Ocarina, Yodlee and many others.

Mrs. Anuradha Jagadeesh is founder of KonnectMe, a crowdfunding social platform for non-profits. She is an experienced computer science professional, entrepreneur, and philanthropist with a passion for leveraging technology to promote non-profits.
