As an Academic Associate, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering courses, mentoring students, and helping them reach their academic potential. You'll have opportunity to collaborate with faculty to create innovative teaching materials. This position offers opportunities to accelerate your professional growth through specialized workshops and certifications, enhancing both your teaching and research skills.  As an Academic Associate, you'll build a solid foundation for a career in academia, whether in research or teaching.   Many ISB Academic Associates often pursue a Ph.D. at internationally renowned universities or business schools, or transition into teaching positions at well-known universities.

Location: Hyderabad & Mohali

Academic Areas: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Organizational Behaviour, Marketing, Operations, or Strategy.

Qualifications:

1.      Educational Background:

a.      Ph.D. or Master’s degree highly preferred

b.      Bachelor's degree required

c.       Strong academic record and demonstrated subject expertise in relevant coursework.

2.      Experience:

a.      Prior experience in teaching, tutoring, and academic support in higher education setup highly preferred.

b.      Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital tools for managing course materials and student data desirable.

3.      Skills and Competencies:

·        Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines.

·        High work ethic and commitment to support faculty and students.

·        Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty and students in a higher education setting.

·        Excellent communication skills for mentoring and student interaction.

·        A proactive approach to problem-solving and academic support.

·        Capacity to work seamlessly within the team and across different areas of the department.

·        Basic mathematical and stats proficiency

 

·        Familiarity with MS Excel functions (e.g. data sorting, vlookup, filters, descriptive statistics and charts).

 

·        Crafting well-organized essays, reports, and presentations; proficiency in constructing coherent arguments and narratives; ability to analyze and interpret complex concepts and theories.

Assist in Course Development, Delivery and Management

Support in the setup, management, and delivery of courses, ensuring effective learning experiences. Tasks include managing in-class activities, LMS, grading assignments, providing feedback, and proctoring exams. Support for developing new material when needed.

Student Mentoring and Tutorials

Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students, offer personalized support, and assist with understanding course content. Conduct tutorials and offer targeted academic assistance. Ensure students receive timely help with their queries and develop key academic skills.

Documentation and Audit Compliance

Ensure fulfilment of audit requirements by accurately documenting all grading, student communications, and course-related interactions. Maintain organized records to support internal audits and compliance reviews.

Professional Development and Certification

Audit courses for certification requirements (teaching or research).

Attend workshops, seminars, and peer learning sessions focused on both instructional strategies and research development.

Participate in faculty-led research projects to develop research skills and gain experience, enhancing overall research competencies (subject to opportunity).
