ISB’s CAS Team has a unique structure and its strength stems from its professional nature and the skills and experience of its team members. There are three pillars on which we manage the key functions of CAS
The Corporate Business Development (CBD) team reaches out to a large recruiter-base, assesses the demand in the market as well as brings jobs to the campus.
The ProgramManagement (PM) team manages job postings and student applications, broadcasts short lists and schedules interviews among other functions.
The Strategy and Execution (SE) team manages recruiter engagements and experience on campus, assists CBD team in expanding outreach, does one-on-one meetings with students and works on the execution of placement day.
The career engagement process begins the moment a class is onboarded this year long metamorphosis comprises of self-reflections, in-class learnings, peer to peer interactions, networking, corporate connects and experiential immersions. ISB follows a hybrid model of placements for the one-year PGP program. Through a series of on-campus presentations and job postings, students get the opportunity to learn about recruiting companies with national and global presence. We are happy to share that we successfully on-boarded the PGP class of ‘21 in the new digital format on May 31, 2020. We are proud to be one of the first Indian B-School to start the PGP program this year on a digital platform followed by a blended learning format for the rest of the academic year. This is a clear reflection of ISB’s commitment towards producing future leaders of tomorrow. The PGP program design changes enable the PGP Class of ‘21 to connect, collaborate, learn and lead using online tools – to be well equipped to work on business challenges and opportunities that will come across their way in the next few quarters.
The Class of ‘21 has students from backgrounds such as Consulting, Finance, Healthcare, Hospitality, Legal Services, Marketing, Technology, Medicine, Merchant Navy and Defense among others. Many students also come with the experience of working across geographies.

Women make up 40% of the current class of PGP Co ‘21 and come from a diverse set of educational backgrounds and industry experiences. ISB focuses on ‘inclusion’ and promotion of gender sensitisation at workplace. The Women In Business Club at ISB aims to promote, empower and enable the entire cohort at ISB to become stronger leaders and foster a more gender equal corporate culture post ISB. Through open forums, networking events and mentorship initiatives on campus, that enable women students to fearlessly express, learn and grow in a judgement free environment.
Women Leadership Programs such as those set up in partnership with Axis Bank and Ashok Leyland have helped organizations augment their women leadership strength. In addition to these, many of our talent partner have hired women leaders from ISB.
ISB selects a talented group of students and mentors them to set them on a path of high performance from the start of their career. The YLP programme acts as a catalyst to enable the group to focus on their career in a structured manner and accelerate their professional growth. The youngsters who make it to this programme are, therefore, ideally positioned to evolve into exceptional business leaders of tomorrow. These young leaders form up to 30% of the class every year and are hired by our clients for Management Trainee and Leadership Roles across functions and industries.
We have a strong representation of students with 8+ years of experience who fulfill requirements for senior level roles in our client organizations. Many of them have led large teams and handled important portfolios in their organizations. Their experience combined with academic rigor they go through at ISB makes them ready to take leadership roles across functions and industries. Many alumni from this pool have gone on to hold positions of prominence in their respective fields at senior designations like Executive Director, Vice President, General Manager and Vertical Head.

The Class of 2020 had an exceptional year on the Placements front in terms of number of jobs offers and salaries offered and more importantly on the diverse kind of roles and responsibilities that came across their way. The Learning and Development (L&D) ecosystem at ISB is a blend of in-class and outside the class engagements.
