Professor Sumanta Singha is an Assistant Professor of Information Systems in Indian School of Business. His primary research interests are in business analytics, statistics, machine learning, and data-driven decision making. His research explores how data analytics lead to improved understanding of the economic and social activities, thereby driving innovation, efficiency, productivity, and growth. His current research includes social media analytics, crowdsourcing, judgement aggregation, decision theory, and model selection. He has received his PhD in Decision Sciences from University of Kansas and Masters of Technology from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Prior to pursuing PhD, he has served in the industry for 13 years in companies such as Larsen and Toubro, ITC Ltd., etc.
