Bharti Institute of Public Policy is guided by an advisory council comprising eminent policymakers, academicians, industry leaders and commentators. The accomplished professionals with their diverse backgrounds from academia, public, private and non-profit organisations help steer the institute towards its mission. They also contribute to the growth of the institute by collaborating on research and engaging with the team and the students.
In keeping with ISB’s portfolio model, the faculty for the programme is drawn from a pool of highly accomplished ISB resident faculty, faculty from The Fletcher School and other leading schools, and eminent policymakers and policy practitioners, from the public and the private sector. The faculty is a great mix of academicians and industry experts, which provides the students with a 360 degree understanding of policy making and policy implementation.

Ashwini Chhatre is an Associate Professor of Public Policy at the ISB. As the Academic Director of the Bharti Institute, Prof. Chhatre is responsible for identifying research priorities and setting the overall direction of the institute. His research interests broadly centre on the interactions between democratisation, economic development, and environmental governance.

Dr Aarushi Jain has 17 years of experience as an Administrator, Faculty and Project Head. She is currently working as the Associate Director of Bharti Institute of Public Policy, Indian School of Business. In her current role, she leads the education, research and outreach activities at the Bharti Institute. She is the coordinator of the Advanced Management Programme in Public Policy.
Visiting Associate Professor, Data, Technology & Public Policy
Dr. Avik Sarkar is Faculty at Indian School of Business working in the areas of Data, Emerging Technology and Public Policy. Dr. Avik Sarkar was the former Head of Data Analytics Cell and Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at NITI Aayog (National Institution for Transforming India Aayog) premier policy think-tank of Government of India. At NITI Aayog, Dr. Sarkar helped in developing roadmap for use of data, analytics and artificial intelligence for Governance, Policy making across various sectors for India's inclusive growth and led efforts towards setting up the first High Performance Computing based Data Analytics Lab and Energy Modeling Unit at NITI Aayog.
Research Director and Adjunct Associate Professor - Bharti Institute of Public Policy
Dr. Anjal Prakash is Research Director and Adjunct Associate Professor, Bharti Institute of Public Policy, Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad India. Before joining ISB, Dr. Prakash worked with TERI- School of Advanced Studies, New Delhi, India as an Associate Professor in the Department of Regional Water Studies. His earlier association was with International Center for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), in Kathmandu, Nepal where he was the Coordinator of the programme - Himalayan Adaptation, Water and Resilience (HI-AWARE) Research on Glacier and Snowpack Dependent River Basins. Before joining ICIMOD in 2014, Dr Prakash led the South Asia Consortium for Interdisciplinary Water Resources Studies (SaciWATERs) as Executive Director. SaciWATERs is a south Asian thinktank that works in six countries of South Asia. His earlier associations were with WaterAid, New Delhi , Water and Sanitation Management Organisation (WASMO), Gandhinagar, Gujarat and VIKSAT, Ahmedabad, India.
