The manufacturing sector in India will grow as the nation grows a talent base infused with vision, leadership, and manufacturing know how. India needs more people who know how to identify market opportunities and pursue them by building the right products and manufacturing capabilities. The challenge is to comprehend manufacturing both at a micro level (design and management of factory and people systems) and at a macro level (design and management of end-to-end value chains). AMPMO Class of 2021 commenced it's First Hybrid Residency on January 29, 2021

The sixth batch of the Advanced Management Programme for Manufacturing and Operations (AMPMO) commenced its academic year with the first hybrid residency from Jan 29, 2021 to Feb 07, 2021. The Class of 2021 has 18 participants. During the residency, 11 participants attended the class offline while seven attended it online. The average work experience in the class is eleven years, and the students come from organizations such as the Flipkart, Tata Consumer parts, ABB Limited, Honda Cars India Limited, Britannia Industries Limited, Dr Reddy’s Lab, etc. There were two distinguished speaker session by Mr. Roopak Sharma, Senior Vice President, Motherson on 30th January, 2021 and Mr. Akhilesh Srivastava, Chief General Manager (IT & Highway Operations)- NHAI on 04 Feb 2021.
