Vanitha Datla is the Vice Chairperson of Elico, a pioneer in the Analytical Instrumentation Industry, based in Hyderabad, India and the Managing Director of Elico Healthcare Services Ltd, a trusted & renowned healthcare partner to its clients in the healthcare industry. Currently pursuing an executive doctoral program at the Indian School of Business to delve into the journeys of women in Indian family businesses, Vanitha is a Chartered Financial Analyst holding a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the Institute of Financial Analysts of India. Her experience of close to three decades spans across diverse sectors such as Financial Services, Insurance Services, Cement, Power, Security Printing, Instrumentation & BPO services, with stints in USA and India.
A true champion of diversity, inclusion, and women empowerment, Vanitha has been working tirelessly over the past decade to improve women’s representation in the corporate sector, through policies, mentoring and best practices. Leading industry forums at the state, regional and national level, has helped her gain experience which has enabled her to be an independent director on corporate boards as well as an advisor to many academic institutions and social non-profit organizations. As a treasurer in a non-profit, Women in Network, she and her team members have been working with children of the urban slums, to encourage them back to school, by mentoring them over the weekends to improve the quality of their lives. She has been conferred with ‘Women of Excellence Award’ by Institute of Public Enterprise, Hyderabad, ‘Exceptional Leaders of Excellence Award’ by Women Economic Forum, Bengaluru, ‘Business Achiever Award for Excellence’ by Andhra Chamber of Commerce, Chennai, ‘Mahila Ratna Award’ by Sri Kala Sudha Telugu Association, Chennai and many more.
