About the Event

Topics: The workshop will focus on diverse yet related topics such as healthcare delivery, food work that is motivated by problems in developing and underdeveloped economies, uses datasets from these settings and/or has policy implications for these contexts. However, these attributes are not necessary for submission. All methodologies (analytical modeling, empirical modeling, experiments) are welcome and the emphasis is on rigorous execution of these methodologies and practical relevance of the results.

Format: The workshop will comprise a single track of approximately 10 high quality presentations spread over 1.5 working days. Each presentation will be of 30 minutes duration followed by 15 minutes of discussion. In addition to the presentations, the workshop program will include a dedicated slot for a poster session featuring work of PhD students.

Submission

Submission guidelines: To be considered for the workshop, authors are requested to submit an extended abstract of four pages via email to isb_poms@isb.edu by September 10, 2014. It should describe the contextual motivation of the research problem, a brief discussion of methodology used, main results, and policy / managerial implications. The abstract should also clearly state whether the submission is toward the presentation track or toward the poster session.
