Senior Care Advancement through Learning and Evidence
SCALE is organised around five themes.
Healthcare Delivery and Care Models Out-of-hospital care, AI-enabled services, and new operating models are being tested across India. We study what's working, for which populations, and under what conditions.
Financing, Insurance, and Economic Security Most elderly Indians have no pension and no insurance. We examine how to design products, risk-pooling mechanisms, and financing models that actually serve this population.
Consumer Behaviour and Markets The elderly are a large and diverse consumer group — and a poorly understood one. We look at how older adults make decisions and what that means for the businesses and services designed for them.
Work, Productivity, and Economic Participation Many older adults want to keep contributing — to their families, their communities, their professions. We study what enables that, and what gets in the way.
Technology, Digital Inclusion, and Innovation Digital India has largely left older adults behind. We investigate how to design technology that works for ageing users — and what it takes to bridge that divide.
SCALE supports ISB faculty-led research projects within these themes. Support includes research grants, dedicated research staff, and access to relevant stakeholders and ecosystems.
