Finance Club
Overview
The Finance Club at ISB boasts of 250+ members with 180+ at Hyderabad and another 70+ at Mohali, coming from diverse finance and non-finance backgrounds. The club focuses on driving initiatives in the finance domain and intends to further the interests of students and alumni interested in finance.
The team consists of 9 talented and experienced people, who carry an average work experience of 5 years, and work on creating awareness on different domains and career paths within Finance. The club not only educates the students but also reaches out to industry veterans and has periodic speaker sessions to expose students to the various practical aspects of finance. Additionally, the club organizes various case competitions and events that further drive the interest of the cohort towards finance and its real-world implications.
The Finance Club has its flagship event, Artha. This event is a platform through which the club brings together students, academia and industry professionals.
Through these initiatives, the Finance Club endeavors to create a connect between students and the outside world, thereby providing students with a holistic experience in finance and ensuring that they are well prepared to handle the nuances of the financial services industry in practical life.
Ravi Chopra
President
Ravi is a Chartered Accountant and finance professional with experience across investing, investor relations, and CFO Advisory. He graduated with a B.Com (Hons.) from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, DU, where he was actively involved with the Finance & Investment Cell.
Prior to ISB, he worked with HDFC Capital Advisors, where he was involved in investment execution, asset management, investor reporting, and portfolio monitoring. He also worked with Deloitte in CFO Advisory, supporting clients on financial process redesign, performance management, and transformation initiatives.
A finance enthusiast at heart, Ravi has actively written and broken-down IPOs, M&A deals, and PE investments. Through the Finance Club, he hopes to make finance more accessible, practical, and outcome-oriented for the ISB community, helping students move from interest to clarity, and from clarity to career action.
Anima Jain
Vice President
Anima Jain is a Chartered Accountant, M.Com, and B.Com (Hons.) graduate with professional experience across finance, global treasury and international taxation.
Over the course of her career, she has worked on high impact global finance engagements. At American Express, she managed and hedged foreign exchange exposure of USD 30 billion and designed enterprise-wide hedging strategies for complex cross-border initiatives. Prior to this, at KPMG, she advised a diverse portfolio of clients on transfer pricing and international taxation matters, earning an early skip-level promotion offer to Manager in recognition of her exceptional performance and leadership potential.
Beyond corporate achievements, Anima is deeply passionate about mentorship and community building. She has published 3 research papers in reputed journals, received recognition at 4 national oratory competitions, won national-level paper presentation and mentored numerous students. More recently, she has been building a knowledge-driven presence on LinkedIn with a growing community of 7.5K+, where she shares insights on finance, careers and personal growth.
As Vice President of the Finance Club at ISB, Anima aspires to build a platform that goes beyond placements and equips students with financial acumen, leadership mindset and industry perspective for success both during and beyond ISB.

Vice President
Vathsal is an FRM charter holder and CFA Level II with a BSc in Economics from NMIMS Mumbai. He brings close to three years of front-office experience spanning investment banking, derivatives, and wealth management. At Verity Knowledge Solutions, he worked within the Financial Institutions Group executing cross-border M&A, collaborating with deal teams in London, Hong Kong, and Paris. At Upwisery Growth Partners, he led client-facing M&A, buyout, and debt mandates across Consumer, TMT, Healthcare, and Real Estate, pitching to PE/VC and strategic investors across India, Singapore & UAE. His derivatives grounding comes from the PCG desk at Motilal Oswal, where he worked on a delta-neutral Bank Nifty options strategy alongside the trading team. Most recently, he founded Novus Wealth, a 360-degree wealth management firm establishing 70+ AMC partnerships onboarding primarily HNI clients, currently being built into a wealth tech platform combining multi-asset distribution with automated research infrastructure. Outside finance, Vathsal is a state level basketball player, captained his college basketball team and follows equity & derivative markets very closely. As Vice President of the Finance Club, he is focused on bringing practitioner-grade exposure across markets, IB, and private capital directly to the ISB community.
