Overview

The Public Policy Club at the Indian School of Business seeks to integrate an understanding of public policy in the business school learning process and explore career opportunities for management students in this area.

It is affiliated with the Bharti Institute of Public Policy whose main objectives are to promote high-quality research to guide policy formulation and implementation in India; to train students – both through degree and short-term programs – to better appreciate, formulate and implement policies; as well as to engage with and inform policy formulation and implementation, particularly in developing country settings. Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University are some of our partner schools.

Subhomay holds an undergraduate degree in Geology from Hansraj College, Delhi University, and a postgraduate degree in Labour Studies and Practices from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. His career in social impact covers malnutrition, migration, rural livelihoods, and climate change. He has worked with Tata Trusts, Swaniti Global, and KPMG India Ltd., and has extensively written on social issues through op-eds and research papers.

Sri Harshith Rajam brings extensive public sector experience from roles in both the Government of India and the Government of Andhra Pradesh. He served in roles such as ACIO and Immigration Officer under the Ministry of Home Affairs and was later selected through the prestigious Group-I services examination conducted by Andhra Pradesh Public Services Commision (APPSC). Subsequently, he worked under the Department of Panchayat Raj & Rural development as the Block Development Officer (BDO) at Ananthagiri, a tribal block in Alluri Sitharama Raju district where he gained valuable grassroots experience in implementation of several central & state level flagship schemes. Harshith leverages his insights into public policy implementation to enhance club discussions, focusing on raising awareness and helping members build profiles for emerging lateral entry roles in the public policy domain.
