Overview
Laughter is indeed the best medicine.
The Stand-up Comedy Club is a just a year-old club that has managed to capture the hearts of the entire cohort. Also known as the support group, it functions to lift spirits in times of sadness and exacerbate the happiness during good times. Our events are greeted with a lot of excitement and the audiences and performers consists of the students as well as the faculty.
This year, our vision is to initiate and create a legacy crew of in-house Stand-up comedians who will perform outside of the Campus.
Hrithik Arora
President
Hrithik Arora is a high-energy marketing leader who comes alive around people and lives to build experiences that bring them together. A graduate of Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, where he served on the executive board of the Marketing Society. He has spent the last six years as a performance marketer for brands like Kraftshala, Samsung, and Harley-Davidson.
A devoted Bollywood fan with a sharp instinct for memes, pop culture, and comic timing, Hrithik sees humour everywhere and loves the craft of making people laugh. Comedy is a passion he's actively exploring, having tested the open-mic stage from Hauz Khas to Gurgaon, and he's equally drawn to theatre and improv. But his real superpower is people, reading a room, sparking energy, and getting everyone involved without ever trying too hard.
As President of the Stand-Up Club, Hrithik hopes to build a space where comedy feels playful, fearless, and open to everyone, from seasoned performers to first timers working up the courage to grab the mic. Through open mics, improv nights, workshops, and cross-club collaborations, his vision is a club where laughter becomes one of the easiest ways to bring the campus together.
