Overview
Laughter is indeed the best medicine.
The Stand-up Comedy Club is a just a year-old club that has managed to capture the hearts of the entire cohort. Also known as the support group, it functions to lift spirits in times of sadness and exacerbate the happiness during good times. Our events are greeted with a lot of excitement and the audiences and performers consists of the students as well as the faculty.
This year, our vision is to initiate and create a legacy crew of in-house Stand-up comedians who will perform outside of the Campus.

Mayank
President
Meet Mayank, the newly elected Comedy Club Representative at ISB. A graduate in Economics from Christ University, Mayank has prior experience working as an Associate Product Manager and Financial Analyst, where he handled client-facing roles, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. He has also held leadership positions in college, including serving as the President of the Economics Association, where he organized large-scale events, academic fests, and social fundraisers.
Beyond academics and work, Mayank is deeply passionate about stand-up comedy. He has written and performed original skits, including a well-received set at ISB’s Talent Night. As Comedy Club Rep, he aims to build a fun, inclusive space on campus through Roast Nights, Improv Battles, Open Mics, and more. With a sharp sense of humor and a strong sense of community, Mayank is committed to making laughter a part of everyday life at ISB.

Rishit Jhaveri
President
Rishit Jhaveri holds a Bachelors in Management Studies from H.R. College of Commerce and Economics. Before joining ISB he worked at TresVista as an analyst and managed end to end private equity deals involving tasks like industry research, market mapping, financial modelling amongst others.
An aspiring stand-up comic, Rishit likes indulging in creating anecdotal sets and has performed in multiple open mics. He also performed a set at ISB’s Talent Night, and his vision is to create an inclusive space where people don’t take themselves seriously and get the courage to be their vulnerable funny self. Roast Nights, Improv Battles, Open Mics, Brainstorming Comedy, Funny Sketches and ISB’s got Latent are some of the events he has planned for the batch ahead.

Kaitav Shah
Vice President
Kaitav is an Electrical and Electronics Engineering graduate from BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus. A universal comic with a flair for mimicry and impersonation, he believes laughter is best when shared. Before ISB, he worked as a product analyst and a governance consultant. At BITS, he co-founded and led the transformation of the informal comedy society into an official club, later serving as its president. He organized open mics, improv sessions, stage dramas, and workshops, and led the MC team for inauguration ceremonies of major college fests.
A regular performer, Kaitav has won stand-up competitions, opened for leading comedians during college pro-shows, and participated in open-mics. At ISB, he’s not just here to make people laugh, but to create a stage for others to do the same-ensuring comedy lovers leave with unforgettable memories and a well-earned laugh.
