PGP YL is designed for young leaders with 0-24 months of work experience. It offers a unique learning journey that blends global perspectives with local insights, offering a cutting-edge curriculum, access to a world-class faculty, and focus on hands-on leadership training.

No. The PGP YL is a full-time, on-campus, residential programme requiring participants to be present on ISB’s Hyderabad campus for a duration of 20 months.

While the programme is equivalent in content and rigour to an MBA, Indian regulations do not allow independent institutions to grant a master’s degree. You will receive a certificate of completion of the Post Graduate Programme in Management for Young Leaders.

PGP YL is a 20-month MBA-equivalent suitable for individuals with 0-24 months of work experience, meaning even fresh graduates with no work experience can apply. On the other hand, the PGP programme is a 12-month MBA-equivalent programme that requires applicants to have at least 2 years of work experience to qualify

To be eligible to apply for PGP YL, you must have completed a bachelor’s degree.

Admissions to PGP YL is highly competitive. The process includes shortlisting based on academic performance, test scores, achievements, and essays. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for personal interviews before a final decision is made.

PGP YL is a rigorous management programme that requires commitment and skills. It is mandatory for all applicants to take a valid management test such as the GMAT, GRE (test centre-based only) or CAT to demonstrate their ability to engage effectively in the course.

No. Starting April 2025, ISB does not accept GMAT / GRE/ CAT scores that are acquired through online or home-based tests. We require all applicants to appear for the tests in physical locations.

Yes, the summer internship is a mandatory component of the ISB PGP YL at the end of Year 1. It provides students with a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting and explore potential career paths.

Yes, the Career Advancement Services team helps students explore opportunities and provides support to identify the best opportunities for the mandatory summer internship.

A structured Career and Professional Development track, complementing the curriculum, will empower students to confidently navigate complex career landscapes. It will equip you with the skills and insights necessary to make informed and independent decisions. Further, the Career Advancement Services team at ISB will assist with mandatory summer internship placements in Year 1 and final placements in Year 2.

All applicants are automatically considered for one of ISB’s merit-based scholarships. About 40-50% of all applicants are expected to receive a scholarship.

The Campus Ambassador programme is for final year students pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree. It is for those who aspire to become brand ambassadors for ISB’s PGP YL programme and is not related to the application process.
