The digital world is buzzing with excitement about the power of generative AI. Companies across industries are exploring and beginning to understand the endless possibilities and applications of generative AI. An awareness will be an important driver of competitive advantage in the future. However, the application of Generative AI is not without risks, concerns around security and privacy mean that the key to unlocking the value of generative AI lies in understanding which models and data should be applied to which use case.

The ISB’s Data Science Summit 2023 returns on 8th December 2023 and puts efficiency-boosting technologies in front of enterprises and data professionals who are looking at scaling generative AI projects and products. The summit focuses on different applications of generative AI in the retail industry and security and privacy challenges.

The summit will unite leading experts in Generative AI, Retail, and Cyber Security including high-level enterprise technologists, application developers, academia, and model and infra builders.

Across a diverse agenda of panel discussions and speaker sessions from the industry-leading generative AI experts, this one-day summit will provide an opportunity to learn unique insights from industry leaders, discussing how they are tackling efficiency, privacy, and security challenges.

Attendees will also benefit from varied opportunities to network and engage with other industries, academia, and researchers throughout the summit.

Sessions

Session-1: Generative AI for Retail

Generative AI is becoming more common and accessible as new solutions enter the market. Practitioners and retail industry professionals’ interest in generative AI is growing exponentially as the hype around Open AI’s ChatGPT speaks. Retailers must be proactive and receptive to leverage generative AI to improve performance, but the key is to identify the right use cases that align with the organization’s corporate strategy and business outcomes. This session will discuss the current state of generative AI, its application to retail industry and identity potential risks arising from generative AI.

Session-2: Generative AI: Governance and Privacy

The Generative AI technology has ushered a new era of innovation in the ever-evolving technological landscape that pushes the boundaries of what machines can achieve by learning content or objects from their input data and use it to generate brand-new, entirely original data.

McKinsey's latest research estimates that Generative AI’s impact on productivity could add $2.6 trillion to $4.4 trillion annually in value to the global economy. This phenomenal value represents industries harnessing the power of Generative AI across the board.

As data grows in volume and generative AI transforms how we can approach innovation and problem solving it’s essential to address the crucial aspect of data privacy and security.

The session discusses the intersection of generative AI and privacy protection, its challenges and mitigation techniques that can help organizations responsibility navigate through these risks.
