The first of ISB@20 global events was held at The Nehru Centre, High Commission of India, London, and the second event was held at the Embassy of India in Berlin.
The Indian School of Business, as part of its 20th anniversary celebrations, held two events in London and Berlin on September 8 and 9 respectively. The events saw the coming together of several of our alumni, leaders from the academic and diplomatic communities, and members of the industry.
The first event was held at The Nehru Centre, High Commission of India, London. Dean Madan Pillutla addressed the gathering and spoke about how ISB has progressed over the two decades. “I do believe that the School has stayed true to its vision by consistently setting and bettering the benchmarks that it has set. I believe that we are now a flagbearer for management institutions in India that want to be research-led,” Dean Pillutla said.
The event saw a keynote address by Krishnamurthy Subramanian, Professor of Finance and Former Chief Economic Adviser of India, on 'Indianising Indian Thought'. Shri Sunil Kant Munjal, Chairman, Hero Enterprise and Member, ISB Executive Board, and Shri Amish Tripathi, Director, The Nehru Centre, also spoke on the occasion.
The second event was held at the Embassy of India in Berlin. The gathering saw Ambassador P Harish and Dean Madan Pillutla address the attendees, followed by the signing of an MoU on student exchange between ESMT Berlin and ISB.
The event witnessed an insightful panel discussion on 'Indo-German Cooperation in the Corporate Sector and the Role of Academia'.
The panel consisted of Tobias Pierlings from the BMWK, Matthias Catón of the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, Roland Siegers from ESMT Berlin, Harita Vinnakota (PGP Co '13) of Hitachi High-Tech Europe and Amrita Gandikota, Founder, PrimedinFabrik, and German Chancellor Fellow.
