The Indian School of Business (ISB), in collaboration with Cyber Peace, launched the report "Fact-Checking India: Identifying the Spread of Fake News and Policy Recommendations for Combating Misinformation." at the Cyberpeace Dialogue hosted by IIIT Delhi on 20^th December 2024.

The study authored by Professor Manish Gangwar, Professor Arani Roy, Dr. Shruti Mantri, and Major Vineet Kumar highlights the escalating concerns around fake news and deepfake technologies in India. It identifies social media as the primary channel for disseminating misinformation and provides critical insights into user behavior and its societal implications.

The study also outlines actionable policy recommendations to mitigate the spread of misinformation, contributing to the broader discourse on safeguarding information integrity.
