India Data Portal, incubated at the Bharti Institute of Public Policy, Indian School of Business in collaboration with Newslaundry is organized a series of monthly webinars on specific datasets curated on the portal, which is a one-stop open-access portal for journalists to access, interact with and visualize information, data and knowledge on agriculture, financial inclusion, rural development and high frequency indicators of the economic growth. The first webinar of the series, ‘Indian Economy and COVID: Insights from Data’ was organized on 28 August 2020. The panellists were Paojel Chaoba of the Frontier; Mitali Mukherjee of the Wire; Sukirat, Punjabi writer and columnist; Prerna Mukharya, founder of Outline India and Prof Ashwini Chhatre, Executive Director of the Bharti Institute of Public Policy. The discussion was moderated by Meghnad S, Associate Editor at Newslaundry.
