Manish Gangwar

Manish Gangwar is a faculty at Indian School of Business. He is also an executive director of Institute of Data Science and business analytics programme at ISB. Professor Gangwar holds a PhD in Management Science from the University of Texas at Dallas. His research interest lies in exploring marketing issues using quantitative models. He has developed game theoretical models on price promotion for frequently purchased goods and nonlinear tariffs for subscription pricing. He has MS from the University of Kentucky and BE from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.

V. Laxmikanth

Laxmikanth is the Managing Director of Broadridge Financial Solutions (India) Pvt. Ltd and is responsible for delivery of product development and operations from its India-based centers across Investor Communications and Securities Processing Solutions businesses. He is a pioneer in the global delivery model in India, having established and run multiple companies over three decades such as ADP India, DE Shaw India and Intergraph India.

He is an active member of industry and academic forums and is the Chair of the NASSCOM Hyderabad Regional Council and the NASSCOM GIC Forum Hyderabad Chapter, member of the Advisory Committee for the GITAM Fintech University and member of Board of Studies of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies.

Dr Sujoy Kar

Dr Sujoy Kar is the Chief Medical Information Officer & Vice President at Apollo Hospitals. He obtained his post graduate MD in Clinical Microbiology (& Infectious Diseases) and is an alumnus of MIT Sloan of Management. He is a Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt (Indian Statistical Institute) and member of professional organisations like ACHE, VRARA (Member – Healthcare Sub Committee), CHIME and Harvard Square (LE). 
Sujoy is currently associated with IIT Kharagpur & IIM Calcutta as Adjunct Faculty for Healthcare Analytics and Management. His current and ongoing research interests are in adoption of Artificial Intelligence & Blockchain Technology in Healthcare, Time Driven Activity Based Costing, Living Labs, Digital Health Platforms and Design Thinking in Healthcare.

Moderator - Sudhir Voleti

Professor Sudhir Voleti is an Associate Professor with the Marketing Area at ISB and Associate Dean for Faculty Alignment and the Registrar’s Office at the ISB. Prof. Voleti completed his Ph D in Marketing and Applied Economics from Simon Graduate School of Business, University of Rochester, and his MBA in Marketing and Strategy from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta. His research focuses on combining data with econometric and statistical methods to explain phenomena of marketing interest.

A dynamic, go-getter retail professional with 19 years of experience in the fields of retail industry as well as online sales. He has proven to be an expert in product merchandising, category management, sales and distribution, optimum sourcing, product styling and imaging, business development, brand management, international licensing and client management, with an aim to drive incremental business growth. He is currently serving as Head of Retail and Omnichannel at SSIPL and has completed Executive General Management Program from IIM Bangalore.

He has 18 years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Big Data, Analytics and BI across Offerings, Solutions, CoE and Delivery assignments with a demonstrated history of implementing Applied Industrialised Artificial Intelligence (IAI), OmniLocation IoT Analytics & AI Platform Product Offerings with vision to establish AI as part of every function of org and every aspect of life to improve overall quality of life.

He has been awarded The Most Technical award of DXC 2019 - Masters Distinction in Digital & AI Leadership Recently.

 

3) Naren Peri

Naren is Asst. Vice President- Analytics and Site Leader, Global Analytics and Research Center(GARC), MetLife, Hyderabad. Naren brings 20 + years of data and analytics experience. He helped many Fortune 500 organizations - across industries -Technology, Retail/CPG, BFSI and healthcare & across geographies US, India, APAC- in institutionalizing and building data driven decision making capabilities. He worked with organizations such as Oracle, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Mu Sigma & Ugam Solutions. 

 

4) Nitin Sareen

While Nitin calls himself a “Data Scientist by accident”, he is a strong believer and practitioner of using advanced analytics as a strategic differentiator across domains and has a proven track record of creating impact by solving key business problems with astute analytical problem solving. Nitin currently heads the Analytics solutions and delivery for the Group DNA cell of Aditya Birla Group. He completed his B. Stat and M. Stat degrees from Indian Statistical Institute (ISI). He is also an active speaker and panellist at leading data science conferences.

 

5) Vijay Nair - Senior Director, Analytics at Lowe's Companies, Inc.

Vijay is an experienced analytics leader with a demonstrated history of heading analytics teams at two Global Fortune 100 retailers. He is passionate about problem solving, landing large scale change, building and mentoring high performing teams. 
He has an MBA from IIM Calcutta and is a graduate from BITS Pilani, along with a certification in advanced analytics from the Indian School of Business.

Ajit Narayanan  - CTO at mfine

An electronics engineer by education, Ajit has more than 20 years of expertise in creating products & building organizations across e-commerce, Consumer Internet, Mobile, Analytics, Integration and Platforms. He is an inventor on many patents in these domains and his current research includes Virtual Assistants, Explainable Artificial Intelligence and Knowledge Representation. 

In his previous avatar, Ajit was the CTO for Myntra and he was responsible for leading a 400+ tech team and define strategy and direction for Consumer Applications, Supply Chain, Analytics and Data Science Platforms.

Prof. Subodha Kumar is a visiting faculty at ISB and Director, Center for Data Analytics – MSCM, Fox School of Business, Temple University. His research and teaching interests include healthcare analytics, social-media analytics, web analytics, and cybersecurity. He holds a patent, authored books and Harvard Business School cases, and Ivey cases. Prof. Kumar studied at the University of Texas at Dallas, where he earned his PhD and MBA.

4) Vikram Rai

Vikram Rai Is a healthcare entrepreneur who believes in “health for all & all for health”. With the same motivation, he cofounded Vitor Health which brings pre-emptive health solutions to help avoid health risks or mitigate them early for all sections of customers such that access and affordability is no more a barrier. He is a technology enthusiast and an alum of BITS Pilani.

He completed his B.Tech. from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi and has worked in various analytics and technology roles at IHS Markit and IBM research division.

3) Kashyap Kompella

Kashyap Kompella is a CEO and chief analyst of rpa2ai Research, an industry analyst firm focusing on Artificial Intelligence. He is also an advisor to Indian and Global VCs, Private Equity players and angel investors. Kashyap is widely recognized as an expert on emerging technologies and Thinkers360 ranks him among the Top 5 thought leaders globally on Artificial Intelligence. His work has appeared in the BBC, Economist, Quartz, Fortune, Mint, Economic Times and Outlook. Most recently, he is the co-author of the book “Practical Artificial Intelligence”. 4) Manish Bhatia 

Manish joined Amazon in 2009 and is presently the Director & Chief Technology Officer for Amazon Pay India. He chartered to build innovative digital products for on-Amazon and doorstep payments experience, financing programs, issuance of gift cards, stored value accounts, co-branded credit cards, third party merchant acceptance and high frequency digital categories. While at Amazon he co-founded 2 new businesses like Amazon Home Services and Amazon Custom.

Deepak Maheshwari

Madhu Viswanathan is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Indian School of Business (ISB).
