PM SVANidhi is a Government of India initiative that provides collateral-free working capital loans to street vendors, enabling them to rebuild livelihoods and access formal credit.
The scheme follows a three-tier loan structure (₹10,000, ₹20,000, ₹50,000), creating a structured pathway for repeated access to formal credit and sustained economic resilience.
Key Findings:
- 95% of beneficiaries accessed formal credit for the first time
- Strong repayment discipline observed among vendors
- Improved use of digital transactions
- Reduced dependence on informal credit sources
- Improved housing conditions and greater financial stability at the family level.
- Better access to food, healthcare, and sustained education for children, reflecting overall household well-being.

- India’s first state-level econometric Vision 2047 framework, outlining an evidence-based pathway to a $3T economy.
- Academic institution–led co-creation aligned with the Viksit Bharat 2047 agenda.
- Use of the Long-Term Growth Model (LTGM) to assess baseline and reform-driven growth scenarios.
- A multi-sector reform roadmap covering credit systems, MSMEs, education finance, and digital ecosystems, with policy inputs such as the Information Bureau and Scientific Return Program.
- Telangana’s spatial area planning (SAP) framework featured as the first vision document and served as a foundational reference across subsequent vision documents.

Rythu Bima is a flagship initiative of the Government of Telangana that provides life insurance coverage to farmers, with the objective of safeguarding their families from financial distress arising from the loss of a primary breadwinner.
Key Highlights:
- Evidence-based evaluation conducted by CAF through a statewide survey covering 180 villages across Telangana.
- Income shock mitigation: The scheme effectively cushioned households from sudden financial distress and reduced vulnerability to poverty.
- Improved financial resilience: Beneficiary families reported greater stability in managing economic uncertainty.
- Support for education and nutrition: Enabled continuity in children’s education and improved nutritional outcomes.
- Positive farming outcomes: Facilitated reinvestment in agriculture and adoption of better farming practices.
