ISB Hosts Data Science Summit 2025 Highlighting Advances in AI, Quantum, and Emerging Technologies

The ISB Institute of Data Science (IIDS), in collaboration with HSBC, recently organised the Data Science Summit 2025 (DSS 2025)—a two-day national summit, that brought together global leaders from government, industry, academia, and the research community to deliberate on the future of Agentic AI, Quantum Computing, Cybersecurity, Generative AI Safety, and Emerging Technologies.

This year, DSS 2025 has been recognised as an official Pre-Event of the India AI Impact Summit, underscoring ISB’s leadership in the national AI ecosystem. IIDS has also been actively contributing to the India AI Impact Summit through workshops on fake news, misinformation, deepfakes, GenAI safety, and national digital literacy initiatives.

The summit featured 30+ speakers from organisations including HSBC, EY, Novartis, Google India, Meesho, ONDC, BCG, Warner Bros Discovery, Hexagon, ECIL (DAE), the Ministry of Defence, Cyber Peace, Domyn, Enforcement Directorate, Income Tax and senior officials from law enforcement.

Sessions explored Quantum Computing and Post-Quantum Cybersecurity, the rise of Agentic AI and the Future of Autonomous Decisioning, and the deployment of Large Language Models at Scale across Business, Government, and Society. Experts also examined the growing risks of Synthetic Fraud, Deepfakes, and AI-Driven Countermeasures, along with critical issues around Crypto-Currency, Money Mules, and Dark Web–enabled financial crime. A strong policy and safety lens shaped dialogues on AI Governance, Misinformation, and Public Safety, while several panels highlighted the increasing importance of Cross-Border Cybercrime Intelligence and International Cooperation in maintaining digital trust and national security.

As emerging technologies like Agentic AI and Quantum Computing reshape every sector, the need for robust cybersecurity, digital trust, and responsible AI becomes more urgent than ever. At IIDS, our mission is not only to advance research in these areas but also to ensure that industry, government, and society are equipped with the right frameworks to harness technology safely and responsibly. DSS 2025 reflects our commitment to building an ecosystem where innovation, security, and societal impact go hand in hand.

DSS 2025 reinforced ISB’s role as a national platform advancing discourse on safe, ethical, and future-ready AI and emerging technologies. The event also showcased research posters, startup demos, and interactive sessions focusing on the intersection of AI, quantum, cybersecurity, retail analytics, digital finance, and governance, bringing practitioners, policymakers, and innovators together.
