Job Outline
The Platform for Development Research and Communication (PDRC) is a flagship initiative of the Bharti Institute of Public Policy, aimed at generating rigorous, evidence-based research on Human Development. As a major milestone, six comprehensive volumes have been conceptualized and published, synthesizing insights across multiple dimensions of human development in India.
The next steps of the initiative focus on ensuring that these six volumes:
- Reach wide audiences—policymakers, researchers, practitioners, and civil society,
- Are integrated into teaching, training, and policy dialogues,
- Are communicated through engaging formats such as policy briefs, case studies, documentaries, translations, and social media content, and
- Make a sustained impact on development thinking, public conversations, and institutional decision-making.
A central component of this dissemination strategy is a coordinated series of events—including national and regional launches, state-level dialogues, webinars, and online discussions—supported by communication materials, digital outreach, and media content. The Event Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring that each of these events is executed professionally, aligns with project goals, and contributes to the broader impact of the PDRC initiative.

This includes creating event plans, preparing agendas, coordinating with speakers and panellists, managing invitations, and ensuring that every event—from national launch to webinars—is professionally executed and well-aligned with PDRC objectives and ISB standards. The role also involves guiding and supervising the Event Support Staff, assigning tasks, monitoring preparation activities, and overseeing on-ground operations during events to ensure smooth, professional execution.
- Logistics, Vendor & Operations Management: Manage venue setup, travel and accommodation, AV arrangements, printing materials, transport, hospitality, and on-site coordination. Liaise with external vendors, ensure timely contracting, monitor quality, and troubleshoot operational challenges to ensure seamless execution.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Engage with speakers, government representatives, academic institutions, media partners, and internal ISB teams to ensure clarity of roles and event expectations. Prepare briefing notes, schedules, event communication, and maintain smooth communication throughout the planning process.
- Coordination with the Communications & Design Team: Work closely with the Communications & Design Cluster to ensure timely preparation of event branding, visual assets, presentations, banners, posters, nameplates, and AV materials. Support the development of promotional and event-related communication content.
