Manager - Academic Success

Function: Academic and Student Affairs (ASA)

Reports to Position: Associate Director, Academic Success

Job Description

1. Academic & Course Operations

  • Coordinate timely and accurate course setup, including LMS integration, material uploads, and academic resource readiness.
  • Track grading progress and component closures, ensuring adherence to academic timelines across terms.
  • Ensure efficient grading support and resolution of course-related queries.
  • Manage AA allocation and scheduling for courses, examinations, invigilation, and tutorials in alignment with academic calendars.
  • Monitor workload distribution to ensure effective operational deployment.
  • Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks to ensure seamless academic delivery.

2. AA Management

  • Own and execute structured onboarding processes for Academic Associates prior to deployment.
  • Ensure role clarity by communicating grading timelines, academic protocols, LMS usage, and compliance expectations.
  • Coordinate completion of mandatory documentation and system access before allocation.
  • Supervise day-to-day AA execution related to grading, attendance marking, invigilation, and component closure.
  • Conduct structured performance check-ins with AAs to monitor workload progress and address challenges.
  • Provide timely feedback to ensure accountability and consistency in academic support delivery.

3. Audit, Compliance & Process Execution

  • Liaise with Internal Academic Audit (IAA), Exams, and Program teams to ensure adherence to academic policies and audit requirements.
  • Ensure timely submission of course data, approvals, and documentation for grade release and course closure.
  • Establish internal checkpoints during the term to monitor grading status and compliance readiness.
  • Support sequential component closure and minimize delays in grade finalization.
  • Escalate compliance risks or operational delays in a structured and timely manner.

4. Academic Advising & Tutorial Support

  • Assist in developing and managing course progression plans to ensure students meet academic requirements and program timelines.
  • Track advising interventions, student progress, and academic risk indicators using institutional systems.
  • Oversee the operational implementation of tutorial-based academic support delivered by tutors and student contributors.
  • Monitor tutorial participation and effectiveness using defined performance indicators.
  • Escalate academic risk cases appropriately to relevant academic or administrative stakeholders. 

5. Technology & Continuous Improvement

  • Manage academic workflows using LMS, Salesforce, and institutional systems.
  • Maintain dashboards and trackers to monitor grading, allocations, advising, and audit readiness.
  • Analyze academic and operational data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support automation initiatives and system enhancements to improve efficiency, visibility, and reporting accuracy.
  • Collect and analyze stakeholder feedback to strengthen academic and advising processes.

  • Maintains high levels of accuracy in academic tracking, documentation, and compliance-related processes.
  • Thrives in a dynamic academic environment and adapts plans and processes to evolving programmatic needs.
  • Collaborates effectively with students, faculty, administrative teams, and external stakeholders to support academic and advising functions.
