The Project Manager will oversee events, knowledge products, media content, digital outreach, and stakeholder engagement to ensure the research meaningfully influences academia, public discourse, and policymaking.

Job Outline

The Platform for Development Research and Communication (PDRC) is a flagship initiative of the Bharti Institute of Public Policy, aimed at generating rigorous, evidence-based research on Human Development. As a major milestone, six comprehensive volumes have been conceptualized and published, synthesizing insights across multiple dimensions of human development in India.

The next steps of the initiative focus on ensuring that these six volumes:

  • Reach wide audiences—policymakers, researchers, practitioners, and civil society,
  • Are integrated into teaching, training, and policy dialogues,
  • Are communicated through engaging formats such as policy briefs, case studies, documentaries, translations, and social media content, and
  • Make a sustained impact on development thinking, public conversations, and institutional decision-making.

To achieve this, the project includes a national launch, regional discussions, teaching materials, media products, academic summaries, and a comprehensive dissemination plan. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all these activities.

The successful candidate will carry out the following activities:

  • Project Planning & Coordination: Develop and manage the overall work plan for October 2025 to December 2026, ensuring alignment across teams and timely delivery of all outputs. Coordinate with the senior leadership of BIPP for approvals, assign tasks, review outputs, conduct coordination meetings, and maintain seamless collaboration across all workstreams. Track programme expenditures, maintain documentation, prepare periodic updates, and consolidate progress reports, ensuring full adherence to financial guidelines, timelines, and reporting standards.
  • Management of Knowledge Products: Oversee the creation of policy briefs, teaching case studies, video documentaries, and translation-ready content as per the project guidelines. This includes coordinating with editors, researchers, designers, translators, and copyeditors, and ensuring quality, accuracy, and coherence across all outputs.
  • Oversight of Events & Dissemination Activities: Provide strategic guidance and oversight for all dissemination events—including the National Launch, Regional Panel Discussions, and webinars. Work closely with the Event Manager to ensure planning, logistics, speaker coordination, and event materials align with project objectives.
  • Stakeholder & Partnership Coordination: Engage with media institutions, state-level partners, translators, designers, and internal ISB teams. Manage third-party agreements, ensure timely delivery of commitments, and maintain strong, effective working relationships.
  • Communications & Digital Outreach: Supervise the creation of social media content, infographics, AV explainers, and promotional materials. Ensure messaging is consistent, accurate, and aligned with the six Human Development volumes, while working closely with the Communications & Design team.
