ISB Healthcare & Pharma Summit 2006


The Healthcare & Pharma Summit was held on November 4, 2006 at the Indian School of Business, (ISB), Hyderabad. This one day conference, hosted by the Healthcare Club was open to all top and middle level managers, cross functional managers, professionals and students connected with the Healthcare and Pharma sectors. This Summit was held in partnership with the Organisation of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (OPPI) – a premier organisation consisting of large pharmaceutical companies that are primarily research-oriented. The theme for the Summit was the Indian Healthcare Industry - Evolving Paradigms.

Intellectual property rights management, mergers and acquisitions, clinical and contract research, health insurance, rural healthcare and medical tourism were some of the topics discussed at the Summit. Eminent speakers from different verticals of the Healthcare community in India dissected the current growth strategies and business environment and at the same time explored new opportunities, challenges and the future of the industry. It was an excellent opportunity for everyone in this sector to voice their opinions on pressing issues, to update the latest trends in the field, to discuss growth possibilities and future prospects, to revisit long-standing strategies, and to form interesting networks and strategic partnerships.
