The new Centre for Information Technology
and the Networked Economy (CITNE) at ISB, along with the Fox
School of Business at Temple University, Philadelphia, USA,
is hosting an international symposium focused on the role of
IT in enhancing global competitiveness and economic
development. The objective of the conference is to bring
together leading academic researchers in the field and
provide an opportunity for productive interface with
business leaders at the forefront of the IT-based business
sector.
The first two days of the conference will be focused on
academic research. This conference is designed to enable
discussion of current unpublished work and new research
topics. The programme format consists of a series of paper
presentations followed by discussant comments, and extended
breaks between sessions to continue the discussion.
The conference is designed also to facilitate interaction
between academicians and practitioners. The last day of the
conference has a special structure. It begins with a keynote
address followed by a series of panel discussions involving
both academic researchers and business leaders.
