Moderator: Professor Prothit Sen

Investment platforms and mergers and acquisitions activity in the healthcare sector Private equity–backed buy-and-build platforms are reshaping Indian healthcare, transforming hospitals and diagnostics from standalone facilities into integrated healthcare service providers. Investors now pursue scale and capability-building by acquiring an anchor institution and expanding through targeted add-on acquisitions, as seen in Advent’s CARE Hospitals, TPG’s Manipal Hospitals, and Warburg Pincus’s Metropolis.
