Data Scientists / Senior Researchers
Job Purpose :
The Data Scientists will work under the guidance of the Programme Coordinator, MDRF and will be responsible for designing and implementing data analytics models to support the initiative of the Meghalaya District Research Fellowship including the grievances raised on the CM Connect helpline for that district under various sectors/domains like education, women’s safety, health and sanitation, higher education, e-governance etc. The Data Scientists will be responsible for collecting, processing, analysing, and interpreting complex and large datasets using statistical software to provide insights that will inform decision-making for the programme.
Job Outline :
- Collaborate with the Programme Coordinator, MDRF and stakeholders/departments/ministries to identify data needs and priorities for the project.
- Develop and implement predictive modeling, clustering, classification, and regression algorithms to analyze complex and large datasets.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights from various districts and state departments.
- Collect, process, and clean data from multiple sources to ensure data quality and completeness.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to present data insights and findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work with the Programme Coordinator, MDRF and team to design and implement a rigorous research design using advanced statistical methods for causal inference.
