Business and Policy Dialogue on Climate Change and Glaciers

On the Eve of World Environment Day, Indian School of Business and British Deputy High Commission, Chandigarh jointly organised a Business and Policy Dialogue on 'Climate Change and Glaciers' on June 03, 2021.

The key areas of the discussion were understanding the level of decline in Himalayan glaciers and its impact downstream, International collaboration- an imperative for dealing with Climate Change and Role of states and civil society in tackling the issue of climate change. Panelists were Professor David Hannah, Professor of Hydrology and UNESCO Chair in Water Science, University of Birmingham (UoB), UK; Kunal Satyarthi, IFS, Principal, Central Academy for State Forest Service (CASFOS), Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India; Dr Miriam Jackson, Programme Co-ordinator, Cryosphere Initiative, River Basins and Cryosphere, International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD); Ulka Kelkar, Director, Climate program, World Resources Institute India and moderated by Dr Anjal Prakash, Research Director and Adjunct Associate Professor, Bharti Institute of Public Policy at Indian School of Business.
