Mekapati Goutham Reddy

Minister for Industries, Commerce, and Information Technology, Government of Andhra Pradesh

He was born on 2nd November 1971, the eldest child of Shri M Raja Mohan Reddy & Smt Mani Manjaree, a distinguished family of first generation entrepreneurs engaged in building infrastructure and creating assets for the nation.

Having completed his schooling from “Good Shepherd Public School, Ooty and went on to complete his Masters at Manchester, UK specialised in Textiles.

After completing his studies, Goutham Reddy joined his family business at KMC constructions in March 1997. His passion, hard work, tenacity led KMC to great growth and success.

He has lived on construction sites working closely with the public, labour and engineers to ensure execution of project within time and cost. During this period, he visited many interior places of the country / state and found that a lot had to be done to ensure all round development of the people.

An opportunity came when Shri YS Jagan Mohan Reddy asked him to join the new YSRC party and serve the people of this state. Mr. Goutham Reddy in 2014 fought his first election from the assembly constituency of Atmakur and also won the 2019 contest by a handsome margin.

From the day he entered politics, Goutham Reddy has been serving the people of his constituency, listening to their problems and providing solutions to them wherever possible. A matter very close to his heart is providing water to the constituents.

Goutham Reddy came up with unique ideas like Pipal Tree Ventures that has trained thousands of young men in basic vocational skills for the fast changing infrastructure industry. He is also the founder of Peachtree Projects LLP.
