The Indian School of Business (ISB) is organising a higher education conclave on ‘Revisiting Higher Education in India: Globally, Locally and Digitally’ on January 20, 2022 in New Delhi. The objective of the proposed conclave is to deliberate upon and design a roadmap for the value-chain of higher education delivery in India by connecting its global, local and digital aspects in the backdrop of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. We are inviting experts from academia, government, industry and media to deliberate on the topic.
The world is undergoing a significant and unprecedented technological disruption, hastened, no doubt, by the Covid-19 pandemic. The effects of these twin shocks are especially evident in the education sector in India and beyond.
As technological transformations blur the boundaries of the physical and digital, they also impact how individuals, institutions and societies engage with industries and markets. NEP predicts changes in the job market, seeks to broaden the scope of education offered at different levels and also acknowledges issues of equitability, inclusivity, accessibility, exploratory and experimental — all ingredients required for transforming job seekers into future-ready human capital.
