Deepa Mani

Deputy Dean-Digital Initiatives & Executive Education and Area Leader and Professor, Information Systems Indian School of Business 

Deepa Mani is a faculty in the Information Systems area, and Research Fellow at the Indian School of Business. She is also the Executive Director of the Srini Raju Centre for Technology and The Networked Economy at ISB. Deepa’s research interests are at the intersection of technology, organisation, and society. She is interested in studying the organization of IT and IT-enabled business functions in firms, and assessment of the business value of a broad class of IT decisions and interventions. Her research articles have been published in leading academic journals and extensively featured in refereed conference proceedings, edited book chapters, and popular media outlets. Deepa works closely with industry to drive innovation and strategies for the digital economy. She also works closely with the central and state governments to explore the impact of technology interventions in areas such as education, healthcare and urbanization.

Deepa serves as an Associate Editor for Management Science and Information Systems Research. Deepa completed her undergraduate education from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University and her graduate education from Carnegie Mellon University. She received her doctorate degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
