  • 50% of the 2% respondents who commuted to work responded after 4 weeks of lockdown and worked at households, ICT, mining, hotels, manufacturing and financial services which fall under the essential services category
  • Education, STEM research, social services, real-estate and public transport were major sectors that went into complete lockdown and work from home arrangements
  • About 3.2% of the respondents worked remotely everyday, even before lockdown was imposed
  • Those who never worked from home & continued commuting to work after lockdown was imposed belonged to mining, manufacturing, hotels and other services sectors
  • About 36% of the respondents feel less or significantly less productive while working from home
  • 34% of the surveyed respondents feel more productive working from home while 29% feel that their productivity is the same at home and at their workplaces
  • The respondents who feel that their productivity while working from home is significantly higher say that they have less distractions to deal with in their remote work environment
  • More than 60% feel believe that their managers and organisations are doing a good job at handling remote work arrangements
  • 50% of the respondents who work at government institutions hada negative opinion on their productivity levels during remote work
  • Respondents relied more on e-mail & chat, phone call, and video calls during remote work. E-mail communication dominated the list. This observation is same across almost all combinations of Firm category, Hierchy of responder, Gender & Age.
  • Most of the respondents did not meet up to work at places other than their office during remote work
  • Many respondents agreed that they miss face-to-face interactions with co-workers & informal meetings
  • Psychology related questions take the shape of a bell curve in the responses
