Bharti Institute of Public Policy, Indian School of Business, hosted a high level delegation from the Cambodian Ministry of Economy and Finance led by H. E. Dr. Hel Chamroeun, Deputy Minister of Finance, and Mr. Meas Soksensan, Secretary General of Finance, from December 20-23, 2016. Following a presentation made by Prof. Prajapati Trivedi, Senior Fellow (Governance) at Bharti Institute and Adjunct Professor of Public Policy, ISB, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, in 2014, the Cambodian delegation was primarily here to study India’s highly regarded experience with performance monitoring and evaluation system for government departments. In addition, they were interested in the on-going budgetary reforms in India. The study tour included an intensive workshop organized at hotel Taj Mansingh in Delhi, and visits to the offices of the Controller General of Accounts and the Ministry of Finance, North Block. A fifteen member high-level delegation of senior Cambodian Government officials led by Dr. Hel Chamroeun, Deputy Minister of Finance, is scheduled to visit India from December 20-23, 2016. They have requested Professor Prajapati Trivedi to help organize a workshop on Indian experience with its Performance Monitoring and Evaluation System (PMES) and Budgeting Reforms.
