The Bharti Institute of Public Policy collaborated with CII’s Young Indians (Yi) to deliver a series of policy workshops in six cities across 33 chapters of Yi in the country. As the name suggests, these ‘Civic Quotient Workshops’ aimed to inform and train young college students about the basics of parliamentary democracy so that they could become more engaged in the policy process and ultimately become better citizens of the country.
These one-day training workshops were held in Kolkata, Jaipur, Bhopal, Indore, Hyderabad and Delhi through January and February 2015 and covered the following areas:
1. Why engage with the policy making process
2. Who makes policies and how
3. How can we engage with the policy making process (including career opportunities in public policy)
