The Indian School of Business, in partnership with NITI Aayog, is organising a Higher Education Dialogue on the theme - 'REVISITING HIGHER EDUCATION IN INDIA: Global, Local and Digital Imperatives'. The dialogue will be on a virtual platform on January 20, 2022. Dr Rajiv Kumar, Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog, Government of India, has confirmed to deliver the keynote address.
The objective of the dialogue is to deliberate upon and design a roadmap for the value-chain of higher education delivery in India by connecting its global, local and digital aspects in the backdrop of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The world is undergoing a significant and unprecedented technological disruption, hastened, no doubt, by the Covid-19 pandemic. The effects of these twin shocks are especially evident in the education sector in India and beyond. As technological transformations blur the physical and digital boundaries, they also impact how individuals, institutions, and societies engage with industries and markets. NEP seeks to broaden the scope of education offered at different levels and acknowledges equitability, inclusivity, and accessibility as essential ingredients required to transform job seekers into future-ready human capital.
Discussions will be around 'Role of Academia for Grassroot Impact' and 'Future of Education: Transformation and Disruptions'. Some of the confirmed speakers include Dr Rajiv Kumar, Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog, Professor Madan Pillutla, Dean, Indian School of Business, Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director, IIM-B, Dr Rudra Pratap, VC, Plaksha University, Professor Neharika Vohra, VC, Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University.
