The Bharti Institute of Public Policy (BIPP), Indian School of Business (ISB) Mohali will host the National Symposium on Agriculture on February 06, 2019 at Juniper Hall, Indian Habitat Centre (IHC), New Delhi, India.
This symposium will deliberate on the crisis facing India’s agrarian economy and discuss policy alternatives and use of technology to increase farmer’s wellbeing. It will also focus on the role agriculture can play in achieving social and economic outcomes beyond merely improving farmer’s livelihoods through panel discussions.
The symposium aims to build a community focussing on a holistic approach to agricultural development in India around:
The symposium will be keynoted by Dr. Krishnamurthy Subramanian, Chief Economic Advisor, Government of India with a closing ceremony addressed by Mr. Rakesh Bharti Mittal, Vice Chairman, Bharti Enterprises, President, Confederation of Indian Industries and Chairman, Advisory Council of Bharti Institute of Public Policy at ISB Mohali. The symposium will bring together eminent scientists, academicians, NGO representatives, and industry leaders.
