ISB and The U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad are organising an International Dialogue Series on National Education Policy and the theme of the first inaugural session is ‘NEP and the Road ahead for Internationalisation of Higher Education in India’. This session is scheduled between 6.30 pm-8.00 pm on September 24, 2020. The National Education Policy makes some significant points on internationalization. Do we anticipate a greater interest from top global universities to expand their footprint into India? Can we make Study in India, a national mission of priority? How do we convert the intent into actionable items for higher educational institutions in India? A panel of eminent leaders will be discussing these questions and frame a road map for internationalisation of Higher Education.
The objective of the dialogue is to talk about the prospects and opportunities in higher education for international players and also to discuss the challenges associated with India's move to internationalize education. Consul General Joel Reifman will share his thoughts in the opening remarks. The Panel Discussion will be moderated by Govindraj Ethiraj, Founder, IndiaSpend and BOOM. The panellists for the session are Smt. Anju Sharma, IAS, Principal Secretary Higher Education, Government of Gujarat; Dr BVR Mohan Reddy, Chairman of Cyient and Chairman of CII National Committee on Education; Professor Rajendra Srivastava, Dean ISB; Professor E Suresh Kumar, Member, UGC & Vice-Chancellor, The English and Foreign Languages University; and Professor Uday B Desai, Founding Director, IIT Hyderabad and Chancellor, Anurag University.
