The session aims to discuss the emerging business analytics issues and related research directions in the following domains:
Prof. Subodha Kumar is the Paul R. Anderson Distinguished Chair Professor of Marketing and Supply Chain Management (with the joint appointments in Information Systems and Statistical Science) at Temple University’s Fox School of Business. He also serves as the Founding Director of the Center for Business Analytics and Disruptive Technologies. He was elected to become a Production and Operations Management Society (POMS) Fellow in 2019.
He has published several papers in reputed journals, such as Management Science, Operations Research, Production and Operations Management (POM), Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Information Systems Research (ISR), MIS Quarterly, Decision Sciences, Journal of Management Information Systems, and IIE Transactions, among others. In addition, he has authored a book, and co-authored book chapters, Harvard Business School cases, and Ivey Business School cases. He also holds a robotics patent. He is routinely cited in several media outlets including NBC, CBS, Fox, NPR, and Bloomberg, among others. He is the Deputy Editor and a Department Editor of POM, and the Founding Executive Editor of Management and Business Review.
He has served as a Senior Editor of Decision Sciences (DSI) and an Associate Editor of ISR. Additionally, he serves on other editorial boards. He was the conference chair for POMS 2018 and DSI 2018, and has co-chaired several other conferences. He has been a keynote speaker and track/cluster chair at leading conferences. He is an Associate Executive Director of POMS. He has also been the Vice President of INFORMS Information Systems Society. He is a board member for many organizations. He has served on the faculty of University of Washington and Texas A&M University.
