Launched in April 2024, the Centre for Learning and Teaching Excellence (CLTE) empowers faculty to create transformative learning experiences for graduates of the Indian School of Business (ISB). CLTE’s focus areas include Teaching Effectiveness, Introducing Teach-ologies (Pedagogy with Technology) and Building Communities.

CLTE champions continuous improvement and aims to position ISB as a leader in innovative business education. The Centre’s long-term intended outcomes include:

1. Commitment to strengthening learning science by introducing cutting-edge pedagogy and creating a learner-centered environment. 
2. Graduates leaving ISB with strong business knowledge, adaptability, problem-solving skills, and self-directed learning habits essential for thriving in a dynamic workplace. 
3. Developing a reputation for hosting courses that inspire and challenge students by incorporating research-based teaching, experiential learning, scenario-based pedagogies, and virtual immersion.

CLTE measures its performance based on the number of faculty members utilising its resources, including workshops and mentorship opportunities; the number of awards won by participating faculty; and the number of new learning pedagogies and Teach-ologies developed relative to benchmarked schools.

Flipped classroom with AI Tutor

This pedagogy aims to promote active learning with the aid of an AI tutor, encourage critical thinking outside the class and enable students to work with emerging technologies.

VR Case Immersion

This pedagogy aims to bring global problems into the class and encourage students to innovate and problem-solve outside their immediate context.

• CLTE is onboarding a private AI coaching app to enable faculty practice and perfect presentations and speeches.
• CLTE is organising a workshop on the case teaching methodology for faculty. This two-day workshop will cover the fundamentals of case method teaching, teaching with simulations, debriefing using the case method, and incorporating AI (Artificial Intelligence) tools into case teaching.
