Saloni Shroff

Saloni Shroff is a Partner at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, India’s largest and leading law firm. She specialises in private mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and joint venture transactions within the corporate practice. Her expertise lies in corporate advisory and transactional matters, particularly in private equity and M&A transactions. She has represented numerous large corporate houses, promoters, and private equity funds in M&A deals and foreign private equity investments.  

Saloni brings extensive experience in structuring and closing investor-driven transactions and has frequently negotiated on behalf of promoters or sell-side parties. She also advises boards of listed entities and independent directors on corporate governance matters.  

Saloni was seconded to the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis (K&E), the world’s leading private equity law firm, where she worked as a foreign associate in their M&A/Private Equity Practice. During her tenure at K&E, she advised and executed transactions for private equity firms involving leveraged buyouts and minority investments. She also advised corporate houses on shareholder activism defences and developed poison pills for companies under threat.
