About Programme

The Advanced Management Programme in Public Policy (AMPPP) is a flagship offering of ISB's Bharti Institute of Public Policy (BIPP). It has been developed in consultation with The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University.
The focus of the curriculum is on: 

  • Building capabilities for evidence-based research in public policy domain
  • Developing leadership and teamwork skills
  • Improving communication, negotiation, stakeholder-management skills
  • Recognising ethical responsibility in the policy domain 

Who should enrol for AMPPP?

The programme aims to address the needs of mid-career and senior professionals with at least five years of experience from segments such as the All India Civil Services; state government or public sector units; multilateral agencies such as the UN, WB, ADB, and NGOs, foundations & thinktanks. Entrepreneurs, consultants, and senior industry executives are also among the prospective groups. The programme sees participation from the defence services and political parties too.

What does BIPP do?

The Bharti Institute of Public Policy is a key part of ISB, and functions as an independent thinktank as well. It institute engages with policymakers by providing them with evidence-based analysis of policy rooted. It works on policy challenges across diverse domains.

The Advanced Management Programme in Public Policy (AMPPP) has been co-created as a partnership between BIPP and a world leader in public policy education, The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University.

Class Profile

AMPPP batches are designed thoughtfully, to ensure a diverse mix. This can help maximise peer learning and exposure. A typical AMPPP batch may comprise students from the civil services, the armed forces, the private sector, entrepreneurs and NGOs, among others. Interactions in the class among such a varied set of students have the potential to generate path-breaking ideas. At an individual level, this can effect fundamental changes in outlook, approach, and vision.

The fee for the programme is INR 13.86 lakh plus GST.
