The Advanced Management Programme in Public Policy (AMPPP) is a flagship offering of ISB's Bharti Institute of Public Policy (BIPP). It has been developed in consultation with The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University.
The focus of the curriculum is on: 

• Building capabilities for evidence-based research in public policy domain

• Developing leadership and teamwork skills

• Improving communication, negotiation, stakeholder-management skills

• Recognising ethical responsibility in the policy domain 

The programme aims to address the needs of mid-career and senior professionals with at least five years of experience from segments such as the All India Civil Services; state government or public sector units; multilateral agencies such as the UN, WB, ADB, and NGOs, foundations & thinktanks. Entrepreneurs, consultants, and senior industry executives are also among the prospective groups. The programme sees participation from the defence services and political parties too.

• A strong grasp of concepts, including but not limited to: Evidence in Public Policy, Financial Sector Regulation, Public Policy Design, Corporate Finance, Ethics, Technology & Society, and Behavioural Insights for Policy
  
• Knowledge of key domains such as Foreign Policy, Urban Governance, Agriculture & Food Policy, Energy & Environmental Policy, Public-Private Partnership, Big Data for Policy, and Rural Development
• Frameworks and skills in the subjects of Leadership, Communication Skills, Negotiation, Data Analysis, Quantitative Methods, and Effective Writing

The Bharti Institute of Public Policy is a key part of ISB, and functions as an independent thinktank as well. It institute engages with policymakers by providing them with evidence-based analysis of policy rooted. It works on policy challenges across diverse domains.

The Advanced Management Programme in Public Policy (AMPPP) has been co-created as a partnership between BIPP and a world leader in public policy education, The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University.

In today’s dynamic era, Public Policy is all-pervasive. The AMPPP develops a deeper understanding of policy formulation and implementation at local, regional, national, and global levels. This hybrid course attracts mid-career to senior-level professionals from both public and private sectors, thereby ensuring and emphasising peer learning.
