Policy Walk

A policy walk was conducted for the current cohort (Co’ 23) of the Advanced Management Programme in Public Policy from 4th to 6th April, in New Delhi. The participants of the cohort visited the corridors of power including the Parliament, North and South Block, and interacted with the senior functionaries of the government to get a firsthand experience in governance and understanding the nitty gritty of policymaking.

Many alumni of previous batches of AMPPP also interacted with the current cohort along with the members of the Advisory Council, Bharti Institute of Public Policy, during a gala dinner organised on the first day of the policy walk.

Special Sessions

  • A fireside chat was organised with J S Deepak, IAS Retd.; Group Director, International Strategy and Public Policy, Former Secretary of Telecom and IT, Government of India and Former Ambassador WTO.
  • A special address was delivered by Rakesh Bharti Mittal, Executive Board Member and Chairman, Mohali Campus Advisory Board, ISB and Vice-Chairman, Bharti Enterprises.
  • Another special address was delivered by Sunil Kant Munjal, Member, Executive Board, ISB and Chairman, Hero Enterprises.
  • V K Duggal, IAS Retd., and Former Home Secretary, Government of India; Former Governor of Manipur and Mizoram and a member of the Advisory Council of Bharti Institute of Public Policy, ISB, also interacted with the participants.
  • T Nanda Kumar, IAS Retd., Former Secretary Food and Agriculture; Member of the Advisory Council, Bharti Institute of Public Policy, ISB, was also present on the occasion.
