Overview 

Aritra is a PhD Candidate in Marketing at the Indian School of Business. Having completed his BS-MS in Mathematics from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Mohali, he uses advanced econometric methods and field experiments to research sales management topics. His work focuses on incentive contracts, sales contests, price negotiations, and the role of middle managers in sales and marketing.

Aritra's dissertation proposal on incentive design for sales managers has been recognized as a winner of the ISBM Doctoral Support Award Competition 2024, the runner-up for the AMA SalesSIG/USCA Doctoral Dissertation Proposal Award 2025, and a winner of the NASMEI Research Grant 2024. He has presented his research at leading international conferences, including the Winter AMA, the ISMS Marketing Science Conference, and the Enhancing Sales Force Producitivity Conference. Aritra teaches a DBA workshop on data analysis and a PhD mathematics boot camp at ISB and serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for IJRM.
