At ISB, you will have access to outstanding residential facilities. These services are provided for the comfort of students, faculty, and participants of the executive education programmes.

The Student Villages have been designed to foster academic and social activities among students. Lounges have been provided to give you a meeting place where you can interact with other students. None of the apartments is more than a 10-minute walk from any building on campus.

Each Student Village has a village centre where you can study, play, or simply hang out. It has a lounge, a game room, study room, and a services area. ISB also has a state-of-the-art water treatment plant that provides potable water in every room. Essential services like laundry and housekeeping are provided to ensure a comfortable stay on campus.

The ISB campuses are on beautiful sites with open fields and clusters of large trees. Architects have retained and highlighted the existing natural formations and the tree canopies. 

The Academic Centre is the heart of the campus. It incorporates the Learning Resource Centre (LRC), which is the knowledge hub of the institution. The LRC also has a library and IT facilities. 

Books and Course Materials: All course materials are provided.

Computing: Laptops are required while studying at the ISB. For any questions regarding laptops (such as minimum specifications) and software, you can write to IT Helpdesk @ itcs_hyd@isb.edu

Housing: Room rent on the campus is INR 36,125 per term plus 18% tax for shared accommodation or INR 64,500 per term plus 18% tax for a studio apartment. All apartments come with appliances, furniture, cable TV, high-speed internet, linen/housecleaning service, filtered water, and electric utilities.

Food: The dining halls have various counters where multi-cuisine food is served. The price ranges from INR 120 to INR 200 for vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

Transport: We have a free shuttle service that operates between the campus and prominent places in the city at regular intervals.

Two- three months before:

1. Get your official invitation letter from the ISB
2. Have a passport (at least 6 months validity)
3. Get your student visa to study in India
4. Check with your doctor for appropriate medicines and vaccines
5. Book your accommodation at the ISB
6. Learn something fun about India 

One month before:

1. Confirm registration and accommodation arrangements at the ISB
2. Submit course bids/preferences list to the ISB
3. Get to know your ISB Buddies
4. Buy air tickets
5. One week before: Inform the ISB exchange coordinator of your arrival time and date
6. Get the exact address for ISB and contact names with particulars of arrival plan
7. Keep your home university address and contact numbers handy
8. Photocopy all important information (visa, passport, credit cards, traveller cheques, permanent ID/driving license, etc), leaving a second copy at home
9. Obtain a small amount of Indian currency (about INR 10,000) for use upon arrival and for emergencies. In addition to cash of INR 10,000, it is recommended that you bring most of the funds in either Debit card or few Dollars which you can change at Bank which is on campus. Also, an ATM for credit/debit cards is available on campus for quick reference.
10. Arrange appropriate transfer of funds - wire transfer or cash (dollars)
11. Pack the most important documents in carry-on (cabin) luggage: such as passport, airline ticket and invitation letter
12. Check customs and quarantine regulations (if any) and pack separately any items which you need to declare; e.g. food, agriculture products, laptop, etc. Detailed information about Indian customs regulations is available from the Indian embassy or high commission in your country.
13. Bring a spare pair of glasses/contact lenses and a prescription of medicines if needed, such as medicines to counter the effects of pollution, diarrhoea, stomach ache, and headaches; antiseptic creams for mosquito bites; and insect repellent.

1. Report to the exchange coordinator upon your arrival at the ISB
2. Meet the ASA – Academic Affairs Department  for help on courses and classes
3. Register with the FRRO Department (if applicable) within 2 weeks of your arrival in India
4. Meet your assigned buddies on campus
5. The housekeeping team has keys to your apartment, and will come in automatically to clean. For help conversing in English with the house keeping staff, call the receptionist at extension ‘0’ for a translation
6. The water on campus is completely safe, but be careful outside (drink bottled water only)
7. Electrical plug adapters are available with the IT department located in the IT department
8. Meet the Finance department to settle payments before you exit from the campus

Application forms are due at least 1 month prior to the term of joining. Please courier your materials at least 2 weeks before this deadline to ensure that it arrives on time.

Expected date of arrival:

It is compulsory for exchange students to reach the campus at least two days before the term begins and they are required to be on campus till their term ends (including exams). An orientation session is conducted on the first Wednesday of the term.
 

Visa:

Visas are required for all nationalities and the processing usually takes 1.5 - 2 months from the time of application. You will be provided with a student visa recommendation letter addressed to the Indian High Commission/ Embassy in your country. Please write to Asma_Mohajir@isb.edu for your visa letter. You are expected to take care of all other visa formalities. All international students will need a valid student visa to study in India and at ISB and an ordinary tourist visa will not be sufficient. Please contact the Indian embassy in the home country for further details.

PS: Access to career portal and recruitment process is not available for incoming exchange students.

Incoming exchange students are expected to be on their best behaviour, and respect the rules and honour codes of both host and home institutions. Exchange students will receive the due number of credits, but do not receive a degree or diploma from the ISB. They are to represent themselves to outsiders (such as recruiters) as exchange students only and not as ISB students.
