President

Tanmay Gupta has been a finance enthusiast since his early years, having grown up in a family deeply involved in both public and private markets. He graduated with a BBA in Finance from NMIMS University, holds CFA Level I, and began his professional journey at D. E. Shaw, where he spent three years in the Financial Research division. There, he worked closely with global traders, supporting investment decisions through in-depth sectoral and security-specific analysis, as well as special situations such as mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructurings. Later, he transitioned to the Asset-Backed Securities team, covering both residential and commercial mortgage-backed instruments.

Tanmay also manages his family’s investment portfolio, applying a structured approach to asset allocation, macro research, and portfolio risk management. Outside the world of finance, he is a passionate follower of Formula One and cricket and hopes to one day become a certified skydiver.

Vice President

Priya Baid is a finance professional with five years of experience across deal-making, pricing strategy, and financial analytics in the IT and financial services sectors, including roles at Goldman Sachs and NTT DATA Services. A Chartered Accountant and CFA Level III pass-out, she has worked closely with CXOs on strategic projects and financial decision-making. At NTT DATA Services, Priya was recognized as Most Valuable Player for turning around a $120M loss-making client portfolio through targeted financial restructuring. She also authored a white paper on COVID-19’s impact on the Indian IT industry as part of the firm’s Emerging Leaders Program.

Committed to financial literacy and mentorship, Priya has led financial wellness workshops for the Jain professional community, helping non-finance professionals gain confidence in investing and risk management. She has personally mentored 25+ students in finance and accounting, with over 80% passing CA or CFA exams on their first attempt and many landing top-tier roles. Outside work, she enjoys dancing and approaches every challenge with curiosity and a hands-on mindset.

Hemesh is a CFA Charterholder and a dual-degree graduate from IIT Bombay, where he earned his B.Tech and M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. He brings over six years of experience spanning trading, investment strategy, personal finance, and corporate strategy. From creating investable indices at JP Morgan and trading global interest rate futures at Futures First to founding Fingenious, a personal finance startup for underserved segments, Hemesh blends deep financial acumen with a passion for making finance more accessible. At Wiom, a fast-scaling internet startup, he worked directly with founders to shape strategic decisions, optimize operations, and raise funding. Most recently, he was driving AI-led training solutions for global clients at a GenAI consulting firm.

As President of the Finance Club, Hemesh envisions “Finance for All”-a platform that supports every ISB student, whether they’re targeting high finance roles or just aiming to manage their money better.

Vice President

Het is a Chartered Accountant and has also cleared CFA Level II with over four years of experience across investment banking, corporate lending, and audit. At HDFC Bank’s Investment Banking division, he structured M&A transactions, raised equity for renewable energy firms, and financed India’s first electric bus deal, while also contributing to NITI Aayog’s national EV policy draft. Outside of work, he loves travelling, geeking out on companies’ annual reports and has played U-18 National Level Basketall.

As Vice President of the Finance Club, Het is committed to transforming the club into a launchpad that bridges classroom learning with real-world finance exposure.
